My name is Israel Elvir, and I was born on August 6, 1987. I am from Tegucigalpa, Honduras. I came to the United States on January 5 of 2018. My family is formed by my mother, Gloria Lainez, and six brothers. I also have 15 nephews, who are all being raised in the Neocatechumenal Way. My Father, Enrique Elvir, passed away five years ago. I have a passion for soccer: I was part of different teams from the age of 5 to 25, and also my whole family loves soccer. In my free time, I like to do many types of sports, to compete with friends and to go out with them in the evening to socialize. I also like to go to the movie theater, listen to music, to sing, to play the guitar and to read. I give thanks to God for the history of salvation that he has done with me and for allowing me to form part of this Seminary, for the human and Christian formation, it is giving me. To be in the Seminary is also giving me discernment and is helping me discover the vocation the Lord is calling me to.
